Canada Day long weekend: travelling with cannabis

420 Clinic Ask 420, Blog 1 Comment

Since the Canada Day long weekend is almost here and many people will be travelling, here’s a quick reminder about the rules regarding your medical marijuana.

You are allowed to travel within Canada, and carry 30 times your daily limit of cannabis, up to 150 grams total. It’s important to note that you cannot travel outside of Canada with your medical marijuana.

If you are travelling within Canada, it’s always recommended you contact the airline prior to checking in, to find out about their policy regarding travel with medical cannabis. If the policy allows for the carrying of medical cannabis, you should be able to fly with it stowed safely in your carry-on luggage.

Ensure you always have your original packaging when travelling with medical cannabis, as well as your patient card on-hand. If you travel outside of Canada with your cannabis you are committing a crime.

Also, we will be closed on Monday, July 3 for the Canada Day holiday, but feel free to stop in on July 4th when we reopen. Have a great long weekend!

  1. Hello and good day. I have my medical marijuanna license and looking for some information. I just saw the 420 ambulance and I am wondering what it is for?
